Sumbawa is trully a angler's heaven, it situated not far from Bali Island as the tourist destination in Indonesia. Sumbawa also has the unique currents breaks and rocky seabed, as it seabed contours and currents flows upwelling bringing the nutritious food and planktons for game fishes in the area to emerge from the deep sea. Exposed tidal reef areas are ready for the action where the GTs are. We know where the GTs are. The water's depth is very variative, from shore as shallow as 12 meters depth to the next 100-150 meters to astonishing 1000+ meters depth. The commercial fishing in the area has not been yet developed by local fisherman, its a virgin area for sportfisherman to explore !!

All those times we fish Nusa Tenggara/Sumbawa, what we released most is black marlin and several white marlin. those weighted in between 75 kilos to 300 kilos. It is very common black marlin caught on fisherman's handline fishing. Even when fish with feather + hook as lure, can even caught a marlin, though a small 50 kilo one.
We are very confidence that there is still granders in the area waiting for you to hunt them!! Get yourself ready for the action of those marlin jumps over the thin air wiggling head to let go the hooks and breaking your line !!

Marlin Fishing, Land Based GT Popping, or GT popping on charter boat. We are as the only one so far who service sportfishing in Sumbawa, for sportfisherman/women only. In every of our Marlin Fishing Trip, we are expecting Black marlin that weight over 75 kilos, which are very common in the area, when trolling fishing, or some 30+ kilos GT when popping, and what so common is grouper weight over 20+ kilos when jigging. Our fishing spots are remote and untouched by others. So then you heard the story above, be prepared for jigs weight in between 200grams - 450 grams, PE line that is PE 4-5 and above, when you are planning to trolling to, please gear up yoursef with a minimum 50lbs class tackle and rods, some konaheads and rapalas will be a good choice.
Landbased GT fishing are very promising a real adventure of fishing, we will drive a 4 x 4 vehicle for an hour then we will camp over the area for the first fishing spot. We will bring our tent, sleeping bags, and chef that will cook for us while we are busy fishing. IF you are not keen with camping our other fishing spots are also potential and promising.
